Citadel: Support from community volunteers

This project will test the impact of community volunteers to support people who have a history of rough sleeping and homelessness or are at risk of homelessness to find or sustain their tenancies.

How we are doing it

We are bringing to England the Citadel’s model developed in Wales to establish, train and mobilise volunteers to complement the efforts of case workers with the aim of improving access to community services, expanding social connections, improving the sense of belonging and reducing loneliness. We expect to have results from the trial in autumn 2025.
